Secure Caravan and Vehicle Storage in Retford

Location

Store your caravan, motorhome, boat, motorbike, trailer, or car securely and conveniently at The Hive Self Storage facility in Retford with easy access from the A1. The site entrance is via automated gates at the end of the road within a small industrial estate.  All our storage bays are on hard standing and offer generous parking spaces to accommodate anything from a small trailer to a large motorhome including a small tow vehicle.  Storage customers park their own vehicles within their allocated bays.

Security

The site is protected by two security gates with a strict no tailgating policy.  It is also protected by 38 cameras recording 24/7, an alarmed fence and 1.5tn concrete barriers.  The site is also floodlit from dusk until dawn. Regular site checks are completed and recorded.  Vehicles must be secured via a hitch lock or wheel clamp.

Speed Limit

A 10 MPH speed limit is enforced in the lane to protect Pedestrians, Children, and Pets, the rule will be strictly enforced.

Servicing and Valeting of caravans and motorhomes

No works or servicing is permitted within in the bays.  All vehicles must be moved into the servicing bay near the office. We have a vehicle wash on site for you to conveniently wash your vehicles.  Tokens can be purchased in our office.

Toilet

Disposal of both toilet waste and grey water is not permitted on our site.  A freshwater tap is available on site to top up.  We do have a customer toilet open 24/7 on site.

Insurance

Proof of adequate insurance for any vehicle being stored is required and a copy of this will be kept on file for company records. Caravan and Vehicle storage at The Hive Retford has been awarded the GOLD standard by the Caravan Storage Site Owners Association (CaSSOA). The Gold award recognises our high standards of security and on-site services. Caravan insurers recognise the value of this standard and are increasingly insisting that caravans are stored on CaSSOA accredited sites and insurance discounts can be available.

• Two forms of identification are required prior to booking a bay; Driving Licence, Passport, recent utility bill
• A deposit of £20.00
• No refunds for early vacation
• Caravans must be secured either with a hitch lock or wheel clamp
• Proof of insurance for the vehicle is required
• Standard SITE ACCESS is from 6:00am to 10:00pm, 7 days a week.
