Store your caravan, motorhome, boat, motorbike, trailer, or car securely and conveniently at The Hive Self Storage facility in Retford, with easy access from the A1. The site entrance is located via automated gates at the end of the road within a small industrial estate. All our storage bays are on hard standing and offer spacious parking areas to accommodate everything from a small trailer to a large motorhome, including a small tow vehicle. Storage customers park their own vehicles within their allocated bays.
Security
The site is protected by two security gates, with a strict no tailgating policy. It is also monitored by 38 cameras recording 24/7, an alarmed fence, and 1.5-ton concrete barriers. The site is floodlit from dusk until dawn. Regular checks are carried out and recorded for added security. Vehicles must be secured using either a hitch lock or wheel clamp.
Servicing and Valeting of Caravans and Motorhomes
No servicing or works are allowed within the storage bays. All vehicles must be moved to the designated servicing bay near the office. A vehicle wash is available on-site for your convenience, and tokens can be purchased at the office.
Toilet
The disposal of both toilet waste and grey water is prohibited on-site. A freshwater tap is available to top up your vehicle, and a customer toilet is open 24/7 on-site for your use.
Insurance
Proof of adequate insurance for any vehicle being stored is required, and a copy will be kept on file for our records. Our caravan and vehicle storage at The Hive Retford has been awarded the GOLD standard by the Caravan Storage Site Owners Association (CaSSOA). This prestigious Gold award acknowledges our high standards of security and on-site services. Caravan insurers recognize the value of this standard and are increasingly requiring caravans to be stored at CaSSOA-accredited sites, which can offer insurance discounts.

During a very stressful period of an upcoming house move the team at The Hive Retford were so helpful and accommodating, they really helped with reducing one of the problems I needed to deal with. All of the ladies I spoke to were polite, and knowledgeable in terms of what size unit would be required and what they could do if more was needed. When it came to moving day, the units were clean and well maintained and we took advantage of their Luton van which helped make the job much easier. I would definitely recommend their service.

Fantastic clean heated indoor storage rooms with really easy but very secure access. The staff are very friendly and efficient, run the company in an environmentally friendly manner, and support a number of local charities. Next time we need storage, we won't hesitate to return here.
We have rented 2 storage containers over the course of the last 4/5 years. The security of the site is first class and all procedures from the initial hire to the return of the deposit have been dealt with very efficiently. We won't hesitate to use Hive again.
